Financial Systems & Controls Generalist | Financial Transformation Project | Egypt

We’re seeking an experienced Finance professional to establish robust financial systems and controls for a growing company undergoing a complete organizational transformation.

The Challenge
Our client has been operating without proper financial structure, systems, or controls. You will be responsible for building the entire financial management framework, from accounting systems to budgeting and reporting processes, bringing transparency, accuracy, and financial discipline.

What You’ll Do

  • Assess current financial operations and identify gaps in controls, reporting, and regulatory compliance
  • Design and implement the chart of accounts, accounting policies, and financial procedures
  • Select and deploy financial management systems (accounting software, budgeting tools, expense management solutions)
  • Establish internal controls, segregation of duties, and fraud prevention mechanisms
  • Develop financial reporting frameworks (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow statements, KPI dashboards)
  • Design and implement budgeting and forecasting processes aligned with business objectives
  • Set up cash management, accounts payable/receivable, and reconciliation procedures
  • Implement cost allocation methodologies and profitability analysis systems
  • Train the local finance team on financial best practices and system usage
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and applicable accounting standards

What You Bring

  • 3-4 years of hands-on experience in financial management, accounting, or financial systems implementation
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, and financial reporting
  • Experience implementing financial software (QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP solutions)
  • Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
  • Proven ability to design control environments and governance frameworks
  • Experience working in emerging or resource-constrained environments (preferred)
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and structured problem-solving capability
  • Cultural adaptability and experience working in the MENA region (preferred)
  • Fluency in Arabic and English (French is a plus)
  • Consulting project experience is a plus
  • MBA is a plus
