The Role
We are looking for a results-driven Business Development Specialist with a specialization in Consultancy Services. Unlike a generalist role, this position focuses on selling complex professional services, R&D collaborations, and strategic advisory. You will be responsible for identifying corporate and high-growth SME clients who require sophisticated business aids to restructure, innovate, or expand internationally.
Key Responsibilities
- Consultative Sales: Identify and engage with B2B clients, conducting initial needs assessments to propose tailored consultancy solutions based on our “Learn, Establish, Grow” framework.
- Academic-Industry Bridging: Facilitate partnerships between leading academic institutions and corporate clients to drive innovation and oversee joint R&D initiatives.
- Proposal Development: Lead the creation of technical and financial proposals for management consultancy projects, ensuring they align with the client’s strategic milestones.
- Client Retention & Account Management: Build long-term relationships with key accounts, ensuring that the implementation of research outcomes and business strategies leads to measurable ROI.
- Strategic Advisory Liaison: Act as the primary link between clients and our high-profile Advisory Board and subject matter experts to deliver high-value project outcomes.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor trends in the consultancy landscape across the MEA region and Europe to refine our service offerings and maintain a competitive edge.
Requirements
- Experience: 3 – 4 years of experience specifically in Business Development for Consultancy firms, Management Advisory, or Professional Services.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Economics, or a related field. An MBA is a strong asset.
- Track Record: Proven ability to close high-ticket service contracts and manage long-cycle B2B sales processes.
- Languages: * Arabic: Native/Bilingual proficiency (Must).
- English: Professional/Full proficiency (Must).
- French: Professional working proficiency is a major plus.
- Skills: Strong analytical thinking, ability to translate “Business Language” into “Academic/Technical Language,” and expert-level presentation skills for C-suite executives.
