Team Lead (Project Manager)
We’re seeking a senior Policy & Innovation strategist to lead a high-impact multi-country assessment on digital entrepreneurship for a leading pan-African development organization.
The Challenge Our client requires a unified assessment of the regulatory environment for startups across eight African countries. You will be responsible for the overall technical leadership, ensuring that diverse country teams deliver consistent, high-quality policy recommendations that align with continental digital transformation frameworks.
What You’ll Do
- Provide overall technical leadership and methodology oversight for a multi-country policy assessment
- Coordinate parallel workstreams across Anglophone and Francophone African countries to ensure consistency
- Serve as the primary liaison between the project team, the client, and international development partners
- Review and quality-assure all Country Assessment Reports and Strategic Support Roadmaps
- Present findings to high-level government officials and ecosystem stakeholders
- Ensure the project stays on schedule and meets all deliverables within the timeline
What You Bring
- 10+ years of professional experience in digital economy, digital transformation, or public sector advisory
- Master’s degree in Public Policy, Economics, Law, or International Development
- Fluency in both English and French is mandatory
- Proven track record leading multi-country policy assessments or complex development projects in Africa
- Strong understanding of entrepreneurship ecosystems and regulatory constraints facing African startups
- Experience working with multilateral organizations or government ministries
